History, Drama (USA — 1997)

A group of African slaves take control of their slave ship, La Amistad, in an attempt to travel back home. After the vessel is recaptured, they are sent back to America where they must stand trial for murder. Their case is then taken up by young property attorney Roger Baldwin.
