Mild-mannered Rhode Island state trooper Charlie tries to avoid conflict at all costs. But one day he is pushed over the brink and his maniacal alternate personality, Hank, emerges. When Charlie is assigned to return alleged fugitive Irene back to upstate New York, they are being pursued by corrupt cops – and have to deal with Hank stepping in at the most inopportune times.
